What is Creative Commons?
Creative Commons is a copyright license that allows others to use and share a creative work. There are different types of Creative Commons licenses, and OpenStax has published books under CC BY and CC BY NC SA. Both of these licenses allow you to use, adapt and remix our materials, provided that you give attribution to OpenStax.

There are a few differences between these two licenses regarding commercial resale and licensing adapted works. You can learn more about these differences and where to find your book's license in the following help article:
https://openstax.secure.force.com/help/articles/FAQ/Commercial-use-under-the-Creative-Commons-License

There is no charge for re-using an OpenStax book; however, we are a grant-funded organization, so donations are always graciously accepted! To learn more about Creative Commons, visit their website (creativecommons.org/about).
