Using the highlighting and note taking feature on mobile or tablet

Create highlight and add a note:

Currently you can view your highlights and notes on mobile and tablet. You can also view your My Highlights summary, create study guides, and print from mobile and tablet. At this time, you cannot create or delete highlights or add/edit/delete notes on mobile and tablet.

To make the most of the OpenStax highlighting and note taking feature, we recommend creating highlights on desktop and reviewing or studying on mobile and tablet.  Please visit the Creating highlights and adding notes on desktop and laptop help article for more information.

Viewing highlights and notes:

The highlights that you created will appear on the page itself so you can see them as you read the book.
