OpenStax textbook accessibility standards
Accessibility is of the highest importance at OpenStax and we are consistently working towards enhancing our accessibility options.

All of our digital textbooks contain descriptive alt-text and table summaries and are designed to be easily navigable with assistive reading technologies.  In addition, we partner with Benetech and their Bookshare platform for a number of our textbooks in accessible formats such as Braille Reader Format (BRF).  The OpenStax web properties are currently undergoing upgrades to bring us in line with the WCAG Level AA compliance standards as well as Section 508 compliance.
